Ranked in the top 10% of U.S. universities, Marquette provides a world-class education to nearly 12,000 students including more than 650 international students from 60 countries. Founded in 1881 by Catholic Jesuits, Marquette is a highly respected, independent university. Professors at Marquette have received international recognition and approximately 99 percent hold a Ph.D. or similar degree in their field. The student-faculty ratio is 14:1 allowing greater individualized attention.
Marquette also recognizes outstanding student achievement by providing scholarships to over 90 percent of first-year and transfer undergraduate international students. Transfer credit is also available for students who have completed advanced course work, such as studies at universities outside the United States.
